Mindful Compassion & Gratitude Journal

Are you ready to cultivate more peace and joy in your life?

Want to begin a journey of mindfulness, acceptance, and appreciation?

My brand new Mindful Compassion & Gratitude Journal offers a powerful 40-day practice to help you do just that!

Why 40 Days?

It’s widely agreed that it takes 40 days to change a habit. That’s what inspired the format of this journal.

That said, mindfulness, gratitude, and self-compassion are lifelong practices. I hope this book will help you jumpstart a habit that brings more acceptance and appreciation to the rest of your life, no matter how hard today is.

What’s Inside: A Journey of Self-Discovery

Just like building any muscle, gratitude is easier on some days, harder on others. This journal offers a simple format to grow through self-inquiry as you feel whatever you’re feeling without shame. You'll begin by establishing compassionate guides: people who truly see you and embrace you, no matter what.

“Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”

-Pema Chödrön

Daily Gratitude Prompts: Each day, you'll be presented with a unique prompt to help you appreciate your life.

Self-Compassion Prompts: Alongside gratitude, I'll guide you through a repeatable self-compassion system. These prompts will help you turn toward yourself with empathy and compassion, even on the hard days.

Some of the prompts include:

  • What are you trying not to feel?
  • Where do you sense the feeling in your body?
  • What sensations do you notice?
  • What does this feeling want to tell you?
  • Ask this feeling, “How can I best support you right now?”

“When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”

-Fred Rogers

Key Benefits of This Journal:

  • Increased Mindfulness: You'll learn to pay attention, on purpose, without judgment.
  • Enhanced Self-Compassion: You'll treat yourself with more kindness and acceptance.
  • Deeper Gratitude: You'll start to deepen your appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
  • Improved Emotional Wellbeing: You'll experience greater peace, joy, and overall satisfaction.

Remember:

  • You’re not alone. Suffering is universal, but so is the power of mindfulness, compassion, and gratitude. Humans are wired to turn towards kindness, but our stressful lives get in the way.
  • There will be days when it feels effortless, and others when it feels challenging. The key is to be patient with yourself and to keep showing up, day after day. But if you don't, it's okay!
  • This journal is not a replacement for professional mental health support. You may feel a lot as you work through this process, and it can help to have a guide or an empathetic friend.

“be softer with you.
you are a breathing thing.
a memory to someone.
a home to a life.”

-Nayyirah Waheed

To aid your journey, I've included a Feelings Wheel at the back of the journal. This visual tool can help you identify your emotions more specifically, fostering a deeper understanding of yourself. Additionally, there are blank pages for you to create your own prompts, allowing you to tailor the experience to your specific needs.

So, are you ready to embark on this transformative journey?
