[00:00:00] The question that I invite you to begin your practice with today is, what am I saying yes to?
[00:00:11] I've heard this now from multiple coaches. If it's not hell yes, it's a no. Just curious how that feels in your body when you hear that? When you think of what you really wanna say yes to, so this could be our drishti, our focus, our attention. Whatever that is that you most want to bring in what you want to say yes to, how that feels in your body.
[00:00:47] As we practice yoga, this is the benefit, that we become more self-aware, not just of our minds and our thoughts and even our feelings, but like the visceral sensation that feeling emanates from. And then it can be more embodied. And that's not to try and shift it, change the feeling, but to get to know it, gain more clarity.
[00:01:16] And then we can work with that and learn from it.
[00:01:22] So have you got something that you're like, yeah, I'm saying yes to this?
[00:01:36] In breath and pause at the top of the in breath. Feel the stillness. Bring your focus to what you're saying yes to, and then let your breath out slow.
[00:02:04] The question of what's true. What is the truth that my body is sharing with me?
[00:02:12] What am I saying yes to? How does that feel in my body? Sometimes when we check in with our bodies, we learn so much more about ourselves. Check in with your whole body, it's all connected.
[00:02:45] How is one part of you supporting or needing support from another?
[00:03:14] I'm going to mute for one minute as you relate to your own body and breath.
[00:04:28] All right, so as you relate to your own body and breath, what are they telling you?
[00:04:43] Even as we have something we want to say yes to, we want to engage with, there might be something that feels like an obstacle. It's very natural to have obstacles. This is how we grow and learn.
[00:05:04] How will you relate to what comes up? What arises that feels like an obstacle, whether it's physical pain, or something systemic or emotional wounding, some self-doubt.
[00:05:38] How will you gain knowledge from it to learn from it?
[00:06:08] You might even need to back away from what you most want to feel. Back away from it. Get a little more perspective to gain the wisdom that those obstacles are offering you.
[00:06:34] And this doesn't happen in the head. This happens in your body, in your nervous system.
[00:06:49] I'm going to mute again.
[00:07:40] Ask yourself, what does yes feel like in my body?
[00:07:55] What does yes feel like viscerally in my body and how can I expand that yes, spread through my whole body?
